R&D Section

The R&D loop is an air duct maintained at a constant temperature and humidity, and regulated. It includes a test section, two sampling sections.

PRESTAT Section

The PRESTA section consists of a bypass air duct connected to the R&D section.

In this section, 4 different lines, including one dedicated to I2, allow the study of the raw material with an activated carbon type in sample holders conventionally used in installations.

The parameters to be monitored are flow rate, temperature and humidity, over all the operating ranges:

CONTROL

Use in automatic and manual mode:

  • the regulated flow range runs from 10 Nm3/h to 100 Nm3/h, for the R&D section,
  • the regulated flow range runs from 15 to 30 NL/min. for the Presta section,
  • the temperature range extends from ambient to 150°C (up to 45°C),
  • the humidity range varies from 30% to saturation,
  • NF EN 571-1 General principles of the penetrant testing,
  • NF L 15 Certificate of conformity at the order.
TECHNOLOGICAL BREAKTHROUGH

Testing filters capable of decontaminating elements contaminated by radioactive iodine.
